The Nigerian Law School Class of 1986 represents a pivotal generation in Nigeria's legal history. Graduating during a period of significant national transition, this class has produced some of the most brilliant legal minds, including Senior Advocates of Nigeria, esteemed judges, and political leaders.
The Legal profession in Nigeria made history when it clocked one hundred years in 1986. In that same year, the 1985/1986 set of students of the Nigerian Law School, now proudly known as the Centennial Class, were called to the Nigerian Bar.
We have members who have distinguished themselves in the legal profession and in public service within and outside Nigeria in line with international best practice in their respective jurisdictions.
The Class can boast of Senior Advocates of Nigeria, Attorneys General, Chief Judges, Justices of the Court of Appeal, Supreme Court representation, legislators, ministers, professors, and leaders across the public and private sectors.
The Class has in place a welfare package for families of deceased members, including donations in cash and kind and personal visits.
The Class also organized a Silver Jubilee Award Night to honour members who attained distinction across the legal profession, academia, public service, business, and public office.
Members of the Class continue to support the Nigerian Law School through teaching, endowments, lectures, and physical legacy projects. One of the most prominent examples is the moot court project at the Law School headquarters in Bwari, Abuja.
Members of the class are ably represented in and out of Government, including governors, deputy governors, ministers, chief justices, judges, legislators, permanent secretaries, commissioners, company directors, academics, diplomats, and successful business leaders.

The Nigerian Law School was established in Lagos under the Legal Education Act 1962 and later relocated to Bwari in Abuja in December 1997. The Class of '86 has remained one of the school's strongest supporters and legacy builders.
